Hi all,
I'm trying to create a 64 bit graph on a Nortel 5510/5530 port (a stack). I'm using SNMPv2 and I've created the graphs using 64-bit counters, but still when the BW exceeds 114Mbit it breaks.
The poller cache says:
SNMP Version: 2, Community: public, OID: .1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.6.129
Snmpget:
snmpget -v 2c -c public 172.x.y.z .1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.6.129
IF-MIB::ifHCInOctets.129 = Counter64: 3023987834
Cacti 0.8.7b
I've tried to rebuild the cache, I've looked at the thread http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?t=24526 and also searched the forum but doesn't seem to find a applicable solution.
Any help on this is much appreciated. Thanks a bunch all!
/Martin

I put the poller into debug mode for two runs:

Any ideas?

the same problem
i faced the same problem as iam trying to read the bandwidth of gigaethernet interfaces but when the bandwitdth exceed 100 Mbps the graph read 0 , iam using 64-bit counters , i searched everywhere in the internet but i didnt found the solution , does anybody know anything about this problem , even what its reason ????

Is issue (clipping at 114 MBps) is due to 32 bit Counters used. Change to 64 bit COUNTERs; this will require SNMP V2mordien wrote:It seems that the 5510 is to blame, since the values below for traffic_out is ~30Mbit when comparing the values. Has anyone seen this before? Is there a solution?
Thanks a bunch all.

Re: the same problem
In most cases, this is due to the data source max being set to a value that's too low for GB interfaces. Change the rrd file using rrdtool tuneporonto wrote:i faced the same problem as iam trying to read the bandwidth of gigaethernet interfaces but when the bandwitdth exceed 100 Mbps the graph read 0 , iam using 64-bit counters , i searched everywhere in the internet but i didnt found the solution , does anybody know anything about this problem , even what its reason ????

I use the 64 bit counter to monitor the Giga interface of a Cisco 3750 switch and the system display the graph but after 2 or 3 poll capture 10/15 minutes the system doesn't graph anymore.
In debug mode all is ok (RRDTool, data source debug, poller in cacti log) but nothing graph anymore.
In data sources I used the template "Interface-traffic" and Output Type ID "In/out bytes (64 bit counters)" and in graph management "interface-traffic (bytes/sec)".
Any idea of the problem?
Tnx

Please post a screenshot of Graph management, selecting the graph and switching to DEBUG modesmlick wrote:I use the 64 bit counter to monitor the Giga interface of a Cisco 3750 switch and the system display the graph but after 2 or 3 poll capture 10/15 minutes the system doesn't graph anymore.
