I tried to make one of my host icon automatically change to different color
when the host goes down, like Whats Up does.
I follow this document link:
http://www.network-weathermap.com/artic ... ost-status
But it dosn't work.
Here is my icon code:
NODE test
LABEL test
INFOURL /cacti/graph.php?rra_id=all&local_graph_id=1433
OVERLIBGRAPH /cacti/graph_image.php?rra_id=0&graph_nolegend=true&graph_height=100&graph_width=300&local_graph_id=1433
ICON images/ball_{node:this:state}.png
TARGET cactihost:33
USESCALE none in
POSITION 250 50
I have created 4 version icons: ball_up.png, ball_down.png, ball_disabled.png, ball_recovering.png
but when I rebuild the map, the icon was missing???
Appreciated for your information.
How can I make the Cacti host status works?

This really belongs in the Weathermap section.
Did you put your images in the <cactiroot>/images directory or in the <cactiroot>/plugins/weathermap/images directory?
They belong inside the weathermap.

(could you perhaps wait more than 15 minutes before e-mailing me directly too? )
Check the cacti.log
It will tell you if weathermap can't find the file, and what filename it is looking for. If the filename contains [unknown], then the cactihost plugin didn't set the state variable properly. If it doesn't then you know where you should have put your files.

Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.
(Let me know if you have UK DevOps or Network Ops opportunities, too!)

I found the problem.
I targeted the wrong ID.
Now it is working well.
Much appreciated for your message.
Have a nice weekend.
Best regards,
Ed

They belong inside the weathermap.
I found the reason: I targeted the wrong device ID.
Thanks again.
Have a nice day.
