Graphes Won't Graph on large device

Post by hybridan »

I have created several graphes of interfaces on smaller cisco devices like 2950s, and 3400s. but when I try to graph interfaces, or only a few on a large device like a 7206, Cacti will not display any graphes, i even waited a day for them to show up. I wonder what I need to do different to get these larger devices that have a lot more interfaces on them to graph?

I think it is snmpv2, but the graphes still won't show up on the bigger devices.

im using windows xp but the cacti is on a linux server. When i try to graph a cisco router with over ten thousand interfaces, i get the "verbose" under data queries error. When i select which ones to graph i only pick a few, but they still don't show up under the graph tree i place them in, just the magnifying glass. Also when i go back to select more interfaces to graph, the ones i selected are not greyed out like they should be.

NVM, not enough memory to graph something like this, i'll grpah a device connected to it to get this information.

that isn't gona work the whote time. Now i need to graph ports on a huge router, but I have to do it by using the OID of the information I need off of that device. I make a data template first. How do i get the OID or a specific OID of a device and the type of information I need from it, for example if i want the in/out bits of it. I think I may need to use snmpwalk, but I was wondering if there is another way to do it since I am having a hard time with that tool.
