We moved from mrtg to cacti, big thanks to the developers !!
unfortunatly we are seeing these warnings in our logs :
08/13/2008 03:05:02 PM - POLLER: Poller[0] WARNING: Poller[0] Host[3] Ping Time was not numeric
What could be the problem ?

Hi all,
i'm facing the same problem. I've moved the current 0.8.6j to a new server and upgraded that to 0.8.7b. (running on RHEL5).
the devices running into that are cisco switches. The uptime will probably be about a year or so.
I've tried both spine and cmd.php. There are 469 hosts, 157 hosts per process, 21739 datasources and 13085 RRD's that are processed.
I haven't seen any update on this topic, but can anyone help me? I've set the SNMP timeout for a few hosts from the default 500 ms to 1500 ms, but there's no change to that host.
