Graphing Cacti host instead of Remote Machines.

Post by FearNoIdea »

I have been working this week to get cacti installed on one of my linux servers to monitor itself and the rest of the fleet. I setup a small number of servers with a minimum amount of metrics. This morning I noticed the graphs for the machines all looked the same. I will speak specifically of the Logged In Users graph for now. This morning I logged into the cacti host machine twice via shell. I then logged into a monitored machine once. I kept the graphs up for both machines. They both reflected 2 users, which was the number of users logged into the cacti host. I checked the Graph Management and it is directed to each respective machine. I looked at graph debug mode and verified that different rrd's were called. Any suggestions?

Similar situation, I'd guess: http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?t=28202
Sorry, I'm in a hurry. :-)
You've already figured the hardest part out by yourself, anyway.

Thank-you very much for the direction. I will be on the road for a week, will post back my results then.
