Yup, missing the xml file also.
This is the second time I've hit this wall, sorry. Will export tomorrow
Was curieus about how you solved my little program in pure SNMP. Was that already possible or did you need the new featues of 0.8.7b?
No, 087b is not required for it, but the export is done with 087b, that's all.

No change for me with xml file. I still get the import errors as per my screenshot above.

Mine is a fresh install of 0.87b with PA2.0 so surprised it doesn't work...anyone else having this problem or running the same versions?

yes it is. Great improvement of my script. Hope it will be useful to a lot of other adsl users. We used it to prove to our ISP that the problem we where experiencing was not related to the router but to the ISP cabling and / or the distance of the line and the noise on the line. Also we where able to keep track of changes performed by the isp and there impact.

Thanks,
Michael

I have exactly the same errors. Cacti 0.8.7b and I have put adslLine.xml into /var/www/html/cacti/resource/snmp_queries

Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi, I am getting the same issue.

I have put the XML file in the snmp_queries folder, and imported the template and I get the same results as the above screen shot.

I am using the current latest version of cacti.

Any help?

Could you look into this Reinhard? I'm currently not using the script since we do not have any ADSL devices anymore.

@others. Could you still try to use my old script. That should work.

Sorted!

In Ubuntu installs, the web server is not using the files in /var/www/cacti/, instead it is using the copy at /usr/share/cacti. Hence Cacti can't find the files even though I've copied to /var/www/cacti/resources/snmp_queries.

I can't quite remember how I fixed it (by removing the redirection to /usr/share/cacti) but it's just a few googles away.

Cheers,
Gabriel

@Gabriel

Glad it worked for you. Had a few problems with yum and cacti in fedora. All directories where different from what I was used to.

Care to share what you did? Google's not being helpful to me today. I'm running Ubuntu and also getting *exactly* the same errors as the other screenshots in here when importing the xml into it. everything else in cacti is working perfectly, it's just spitting chips on this one.

Any advice appreciated (and i'm using the latest xml files as posted).

If you can't use the xml file you can always use the old method indicated in the first posts. :D

Different problem

Post by Criggie »

Hi - my cisco is an ancient SOHO77 (roughly a cisco 827). Running the data query in debug mode shows:

Code: Select all

+ Executing SNMP walk for list of indexes @ '.1.3.6.1.2.1.10.94.1.1.3.1.1'
+ No SNMP data returned

An snmpwalk confirms that oid does not exist - Is it just not available, or would it be hidden as
transmission.94.1.1.14.1.2.68.69.70.86.65.76 or similar?
