SNMP - Interface Statistics- success but 0 results

Hi

Iam very new to cacti and SNMP and am having trouble in getting SNMP - Interface Statistics running as it runs successfully but returns 0 results. The query running in debug mode returns this

+ Running data query [1].
+ Found type = '3' [snmp query].
+ Found data query XML file at '/srv/cacti/resource/snmp_queries/interface.xml'
+ XML file parsed ok.
+ Executing SNMP walk for list of indexes @ '.1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.1'
+ No SNMP data returned
+ Found data query XML file at '/srv/cacti/resource/snmp_queries/interface.xml'
+ Found data query XML file at '/srv/cacti/resource/snmp_queries/interface.xml'
+ Found data query XML file at '/srv/cacti/resource/snmp_queries/interface.xml'

I tried the link Gandalf asked to follow which removes nans from the graphs in another post but on the second step I am having trouble.

When I try to su the script as user cacti I am getting this error

[root@monitor2 resource]# su - cacti /srv/cacti/scripts/diskfree.sh
This account is currently not available.

Iam not sure what am I doing wrong. I have many other graphs like load average working properly(though the value is not perfectly matching unix top command). Also there is no error in SNMP as the top of the device page doesnt show SNMP error.

Any help will be appreciated

For this test, please use the userid that's given in the cronatb for running cacti's poller. Sometimes it is called "cacti", "cactiuser", "www-data" or the like

Thanks for the prompt reply.

I used cacti as userid because it is what is used by cacti.

the entry in the crontab looks like this

*/5 * * * * cacti php /srv/cacti/poller.php > /dev/null 2>&1

I am not sure why su is not able to run the scripts. Can this be the problem making data queries returning 0 results.

you may need to add the shell explicitely, e.g. /bin/bash (if the script is not executable or the like)
