Hi all,
I've installed successfully Cacti on my Debian GNU/Linux system. I can monitor every server on my network.
Cacti is really great.
But I can't get CPU usage of my Win32 hosts with SNMP.
Can someone explain to me who to get CPU usage with SNMP on an Win32 hosts?
Thanks a lot

The only problem with that MIB variable is that it is a one minute load average. If you are using the default 5 minute polling interval in Cacti, then your results will not be correct.
Most servers come with their own proprietary MIBs that contain the CPU utilization/ disk use/ memory use/ pages per minute.....
For Example Compaq uses .1.3.6.1.4.1.232.11.2.3.1.1.3 for CPU and 1.3.6.1.4.1.232.11.2.4.1.1.5 for storage use....

One other option for SNMP on Windows 2000 and 2003 servers is SNMPInformant. It exposes Perfmon counters to SNMP. There is a free version that gives you CPU, DISK, Memory and Network counters. A full version is available (for a fee) that expsoses almost all the counters.
Only issue is that it requires an install on each server you want to Poll via SNMP. However, I haven't had any problems with it and we are going to roll out the agent to our Enterprisefor use with Cacti.
