[ERROR: FILE NOT FOUND], but the path IS correct

Post by ingenious »

well I get [ERROR: FILE NOT FOUND] for all the paths in Settings. And all the paths are correct. Yes, I've checked them with which; yes, I've checked running them with --version. They are correct. Still cacti does not seem to think so.

It's 0.8.7b, latest stable; I'm running it on suse 10.1, I've done everything just like in the manual, but it still wouldn't work. So I installed it as root - still no go. I'm pretty desperate already, so please help me :-?

some more info:

the about.php page says

Cacti Variables
Operating System: unix
PHP SNMP Support: yes

and in devices I get the following for localhost:

Localhost (127.0.0.1)
Ping Results
Ping not performed due to setting.

Some output from the command line:

# php5 poller.php
#

yes, nothing; and:

php5 cmd.php
07/02/2008 03:20:16 PM - POLLER: Poller[0] WARNING: Poller[0] Host[1] Ping Time was not numeric
sh: /perl: No such file or directory

nope;

Verilium on #cacti on freenode pointed me to http://forums.cacti.net/about26902.html ... +NOT+FOUND

so I created a vhost.conf as described there since I'm using plesk; I also enabled perl. And now I'm not quite sure which did the trick, but it's working now :)

thanks anyway :)
