Unable to Save a New Device.

Post by Fraginhell »

Hi Guys,

I'm Running 0.8.6J on RHEL 3.8AS Mysql 4.3.2 PHP 4.3.2.
All of sudden I cannot add another device, I get ERROR : Saved Failed in a red box.
I though this maybe a Mysql problem, so I did DB check
mysqlcheck -c cacti -u xxxxxx -p
All returned ok. I have also checked the permission on the DB files etc / restarted mysql.
I Then get a blank entry in the devices list, and once I delete that my default tree entires get deleted.
How Do I diagnose this ? I checked the cacti log file but no mysql errors?
I'm assumming of course its a mysql error, can any point me in the right direction.
Thanks for you help and time.

Keith.

With 086j, there's a known error with saving devices in specific circumstances. This was fixed in later releases.
I suppose that the mayhem with the tree is a second error related to the first one.
