Graphs Not Appearing

Post by kaplan71 »

Hi there --

I completed the installation of Cacti onto my system and have set up a remote Generic SNMP-enable host. The host in question is an Hewlett- Packard L2000 class server running HP-UX 11.00. I want to monitor the available disk space on the server and have set up the SNMP - Get Mounted Partitions query along with the Host MIB - Available Disk Space graph template.

According to the console, the Host MIB is being graphed. However, when I go to the tree mode and check for the graphs, they do not appear. The attachment enclosed with this e-mail shows what I am seeing. What do I need to do to correct this? Thanks.

Have you checked your apache logs?
What does your apache error.log say?

I originally had the same problem, and it was due to the images not being found in the apache data directory.

Graphs Not Appearing

I did a check of the log files and the error that I am seeing is

ERROR: opening /usr/local/apache/htdocs/cacti-0.8.5a/rra/<servername>_diskspace_3.rrd: No such file or directory.

The same error message, somewhat modified, for the localhost as well.

My question is!

Upgraded from 0.8.3 > 0.8.5a
Upgrade done fine.
Upgrade details:
I copied all rra to new cacti directory.
I dumped the old sql database than inserted to a newly created database.
pointed my browser to new cacti html path. The cacti install web page appeard and I choosed upgrade. A made 4 klicc on Next and done. :)
But! When I log in and see the graphs they are all empty...WHY?
When I release the hashmark on my crontab to start cacti the graps are all begin to work fine...but where is my old data?
I have the old 0.8.3 cacti running besides the new one on the same machine so all data in safe place.
thx

OK I answer my question :)

Because of the update, the cacti sql table "settings" didn't changed! (It's ok if the rra graph's are the same as before the upgrade but I moved them to a new location) so I updated the settings table path_webroot value manually and it's ok now the graphs are visible.
