I have been running cacti for about a month now, polling about 300 differnt MIB. I notice spikes that are exactly the same (time and peak) on multiple graphs accross multiple rotuers and switches. It appears to be happening mostly when we are experiencing network issues. Other than the spikes the program is working great.
Has anyone else seen this problem?
thanks,
Ryan

Same Problem
I'm having the same problem. Has anyone come up with a solution to this yet?
64 bit counters
I had the same problem with ATM OC12 or GigE interfaces when traffic exceeds about 100 MBit.
Solution: Switch to 64 bit counters (which means you also have to switch to SNMPv2)
The problem with this is: you have to delete all data sources and graphs which you have problems with and readd them to the host (after having chaned the host's SNMP Version to a value grater than 1).
Changing the Data Source template to 64 bit counters only isnt sufficing.
