How to interperate errors?

Post by gula »

Hello,
We use Cacti to monitor SMC POE switch ports, which connect to Aruba APs. On those ports, Cacti show high rate of constant input errors (~8MB).
The Aruba AP is using GRE to tunnel back to central controller and it appears working OK.
My question is how to interperate those errors in Cacti graph? Is there any log file shows what are those errors? Any thing I need to download for monitoring Aruba AP in Cacti?
Thanks.

If you're seeing that many errors, it would be wise to take WireShark out there and monitor the traffic that's being generated to see what kind of errors you're getting.

Could be something as simple as speed mismatches between the connected equipment and the port.
