No GD module loaded and founded

Post by Warrer3 »

Hi everyone,

I've got a problem ( really ? ) . I'm running on Windows 2003 Server and i've installed cacti 0.8.7b, the latest version.
Everything is OK so i've installed the plugin architecture and i've test it with the Superlink plugin to verifiy that it works well.
But as Weathermap reports, Superlinks reports :
"Your mod_php should have the GD module enabled, with PNG support AND Freetype support. SuperLinks cannot create the tab graphics without this change."

So I've checked my php.ini file but i didn't any line where the GD is mentionned. I'm using the PHP5 version without a bundle like WAMP or Easyphp, as a standalone if you prefer.

Does anyone can help me please? I know it's not difficult but it's quiet urgent for me.

Thanks you very much in advance.

Best regards,

EDIT: this is the result screen of the check.php web-based weathermap file

In your php.ini take a look at the section called "extension".
If the GD2 library is available you can enable it with:

Code: Select all

extension=php_gd2.dll

Thanks but it's not the problem actually.
I don't have this extension in my php.ini file.

Indeed, i've got an error when i try to reinstall my php5 ( with all option to have GD library for example ).
"A script
required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your
support personnel or package vendor".

It appears that this problem is fixed by running php5 installer as an Administrator on W2K3, i founded it on php.net bug section.

I'll try but anyone can confirm me this solution plz ?

Thanks u a lot !

Double posting doesn't get you help faster.

So add it.

You'll need to likely download the PHP zip file which contains all the extensions.

If you do not have the gd file, download the binaries of the php version you have (not the setup version of php.) Once you have downloaded the php binaries, simply extract the gd file and place it where it belongs. After that, walla! you got gd... but once you have done that, you need to enable it at the very bottom of the php.ini file
