Hi. I am relatively new to Cacti. I set it up on my Windows machine and added localhost as a device.
I was able to plot all but the CPU Utilization graphs. I went through several posts in the forum but did not get an answer.
SNMP - get processor information returns the processor index number. Also when run in debug mode it returns the index number.
When i do snmpwalk, I am able to get the processor index number as well as the processor load.
I had read in an earlier post where a person had a similar problem but his problem was resolved because he found out that he had two data sources with the same name cpu. Unfortunately, this is not the case here.
The error says that the rrd file does not exist. The rrd file for CPU utilization does not get created (though note that various other rrd files get created successfully). When I run the data source query in debug mode, it does not return any message but the rrd file is not created. When I copy past the same query and run it from command prompt, then the rrd file is created.
Kindly help. If any screen shots or other details are required, please let me know.
Unable to get the CPU Utilization graph

Have you change the cacti logging level to debug for a polling cycle, and then looked for the problem data source to see if cacti was able to collect data? If it was able to collect data, did rrdtool create or update the rrd file (which you said was missing) ?
Might be easier if you posted your cacti log, as an attachment.

I somehow doubt that a few changes I made in the data template might be the cause.
I have attached a screen shot of the data template.
Kindly see that and let me know if it is incorrect.

1) In the future when posting screenshots, do so as images, not word documents.
2) In your cacti.log file, DS[51] wasn't run. How did you determine the cpu datasource id is 51? Is the host a windows or linux box? If so, trying to use any linux templates against a windows box will not work.
