Create an administrative id, say called "cacti". Then schedule the service to run under that ID instead of your LoginID and the window disappears...

Oh, that's elegant, but I can't create an admin ID on my system (security restrictions)! I've been using a program called hidden, which I conveniently can't locate on the web at the moment.....

You can write a 4 line VB program to effect the same result. I don't have it either I am affraid.

Right, you can hide the window with a VBS script
invisible.vbs
Code: Select all
CreateObject("Wscript.Shell").Run WScript.Arguments(0), 0, False
How I use it in a Task run line: D:\WINNT\system32\wscript.exe "D:\mrtg\workingdir\invisible.vbs" "D:\mrtg\workingdir\upload.bat"
