Cisco 4506 and 4510 not returning MAC's

Post by Dwayne_Dibbley »

I have configured 6513 running CatOS with 6000 MSFC's and theses are returning data correctly, but when i add the 4500 as switch/hub or switch/router using scanIOS or scan CatOS i only get back the trunk port to another cat and no user ports ie 4 x 4248 cards only the ten gig interface?

Thanks

Looks to me that the scanning functions needs some updates for this Level3 switch, or you have an ACL that is preventing read access to the CAM/BRIDGE information. Please verify.

Cisco supports restricting access to the CAM information on all their switches. Other than that, I am a bit remiss since I don't do this work any more and don't have time to sub-contract myself to keep things up-to-date.

We'll see. Money always talks... Especially if your CO. has some and doesn't mind sending changes upstream.

OK here you go for starters :)

There are no ACL restricting access to the CAM/BRIDGE info?

can i SNMP walk the bridge info to see if its returning the correct data?
