Hi
I just got installed cacti 0.8.7b on solaris 10.
I want to see iostat graphs on it. Anyone has done something similar ?
I appreciate your help.

Hi
I installed this on solaris 10
http://forums.cacti.net/about8777.html
It worked fine.
The graphs only show the device names: ssd1,ssd33,...
is there a way to include the partition names (/,swap,/rdbms,/var/run,...) in these graphs too ?

You need to add (or increase the order of) '|host_description| - Disk Space - |query_dskPath|' in the associated graph template.
I don't have that specific template loaded, so as an example:
- Click 'Console/Data Queries/ucd/net - Get Monitored Partitions'
- Click 'Available/Used Disk Space' under 'Associated Graph Templates'
- Under 'Graph Template - ucd/net - Available Disk Space' you would enter 'host_description| - Disk Space - |query_dskPath' in the first field, and 'title' in the second field, then click 'add'
Whichever suggested value is at the top will be attempted first. You can change the order, then reapply the graph names (option in the dropdown list when viewing graph list).

Get Monitored Partitions
I added this field |host_description| - Disk Space - |query_dskPath| to the ucd/net - Get Device I/O data query associated graph template but it had no effect. The output graph remained the same as before.
In addtion, Get monitored Partitions is not giving any output graph. This is the verbose query:
+ Executing SNMP walk for list of indexes @ '.1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.9.1.1'
+ No SNMP data returned
??

That would mean that 'dskPath' does not exist.
Change the order back to the original order, rerun the verbose query and post it, then click on 'Add Graphs to Device' and take a screenshot of the complete output of the iostats area.
