How to replicate data (devices, graphes etc) to another svr

Post by gula »

Hello,
We are using two Cacti VM servers. One thing I would like to do is replicate the Cacti info. from one server to the second server, which includes device, graph, users.
Is there an automated process? If not, how can I do it manually?
Thanks.

setup mysql replication from the master to the backup. There's lots of docs on the net on how to setup replication.

The RRDs themselves are another matter, you could rsync them if it's not a lot of data, or put them on some sort of highly available centralized storage. I think there's some way to do raid over a network with linux as well (netblock devices?) Though I wouldn't do that myself.
