Is there a solution ready for display cacti run on cluster? In the case of the monitor on a machine fall another take the control?

Has anyone found out a solution about this problem concerning high availability cacti cluster ?

There's a discussion of a distributed cacti system in the Feature Request forum.
Personally, we decided to run two installations in parallel, dump/reloading mysql database once a day and rsync'ing rrd files at the same time.
There are more advanced setups making use of mysql replication; we just did not have the time to implement it.

You could use VMWare ESX + HA, which has the ability to detect a failed VM and automatically fire up the VM on another system in the cluster. Though it requires some additional infrastructure(storage etc).

You could probably script something similar in Xen as well, though I've never used Xen so don't know specifics.
