configmanage's multi mode question :(

Post by liuzhe2000 »

hi,guys

i'm configuring the configmanager-0.76

First, i changed the "telnetdownloadcygwin.bat" into ------
REM parameter 5 for sleep must be at least 3 in order to not cut the connection
bash -c "(echo %5; echo %2; echo %3; echo dis cur; sleep %4) | telnet %1 " >%6

%5 is firstpassword, %2 is the command "super", %3 is the super's password, "dis cur"(="show run" in cisco's router) is a command in HuaWei Router.
but configmanager only producted a "%y%%m%%d%" folder, and it is empty.
Second, i wrote the "startup-dh8505.bat" for windows and result is same.

And i noticed that in First a "cmd.exe" appeared in windows' task manager, and in Second a "cmd.exe" and a "telnet.exe" appeared in windows' task manager.

Why is it ??
help me
thanks

I think the problem is you are executing the telnet of windows not the telnet of cygwin (I had the same problem the first time).
Window telnet is not interactive for the password ... (in pure windows you have to use an other telnet or create wscript/cscript script). I tried a lot for telnet-windows, but I got always some problems. The easiest way for telnet is to use cygwin and his telnet (or copy only this one and changing the path variable)

PS: for ssh and scp it is easier and more scalable with putty (windows or unix)
