Step-by-Step for graphing temperature of Sun

Hello,

I like to graph the temperature of several sensor from a Sun machine. I extract the values from the output of the prtdiag command. I already wrote a Perl script to accomplish this task. This script has 3 modes of output (as far as I understand the other scripts and tutorials): index, query and get.
Now I need an appropriate data query xml file, data template and graph template for that.
Has anyone a step by step introduction for that or maybe can provide some help on this?
