Cannot install cacti on debian etch with ispcp

Post by Hannibal-CH »

HI, i have now the same problem like here..

http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?t=15148

i tried the normal install with apt-get on my debian. but i am using the new vhcs version ispcp..

so i saw this post and downloaded the tar. i uploaded cacti into my ispcp control main folder gui and now when i try to access the folder i get this message:

Code: Select all

Warning: is_file() [function.is-file]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/cacti/index.php) is not within the allowed path(s): (/var/www/ispcp/gui/:/etc/ispcp/:/var/run/ispcp.lock:/proc/:/bin/df:/bin/mount:/var/log/rkhunter.log:/var/log/chkrootkit.log:/usr/share/php/) in /var/www/ispcp/gui/cacti/include/global.php on line 111
what can i do? what is the way to install it with a system like vhcs?

please help

thank you

yes you can use cacti on ISPCP however you must edit your apache config so you allow it to connect

EDIT: I have corrected the post on 08.05.2008

look into /var/virtual/fcgi/master/php_version/php.ini and edit in this line starting with open_basedir and add the path to cacti

Code: Select all

/var/www/ispcp/gui/cacti:
