Cactid and ping

Post by jamiebah »

I switched to cactid 'cause cmd.php was flirting with 5 minutes to complete
(it now takes under 30 seconds), now none of my ping graphs work.
There seems to be data in the database, using rrdtool info <rrdname> shows information, and the date on the file is updated like the rest, but cacti graphs show NAN.

Anyone got any ideas?

Cactid updating rrd files but returning NAN graphs

Post by BoarderX »

I had my graphs working properly but after adding about the 37th 48 port cisco switch i ran into the 5 min problem, obviously. So anyways I swapped over to cactid and got it running smoothly... or so I thought. Its polling about 100 switches right now. I'm receiving no errors, the files show the updated times appropriately and yet I am getting NAN results on my new graphs. The graphs that were previously working with cmd.php before i moved to cactid stopped reporting new data as well. Permissions are fine. No errors.. I'm at a bit of a loss. Sounds similar to your problem. Anyone?

I'll keep digging in the meanwhile...

Have you done a Clear of the poller cache? This is under the Utilities section in the console. Also, run cactid manually and see if it reports back any problems.

Yep, have cleared it more than once, I am really stumped.
Thanks for responding! I was starting to think that no one read the post lately....
