Hello,
I have Cacti. 0.87b and latest Flowview-Plugin installed.
I also installed flow-tools.
All paths under Settings/paths are 100% correct.
I am capturing flow like this:
./flow-capture -w /var/netflow/flows/ 0/0/7777 -S5
Files in the directory looks like this:
/var/netflow/flows/2008/2008-04/2008-04-09
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Apr 9 17:45 .
drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 4096 Apr 9 17:07 ..
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 204104 Apr 9 17:15 ft-v05.2008-04-09.170735+0200
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 381495 Apr 9 17:29 ft-v05.2008-04-09.171501+0200
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 398753 Apr 9 17:45 ft-v05.2008-04-09.173000+0200
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 49232 Apr 9 17:46 tmp-v05.2008-04-09.174501+0200
I dont get ANYTHING when using flowview, just empty tables...
Nothing shows up under "Device" as well...
Does somebody know what the problem might be??
thanks

I finally found out, maybe this is interesting for other people:
The Router from which the flows come had a wrong time and date setting. As the time and date is written into the flows but flowcat saves them in a dir-structure based on the collectors time-setting, everything gets mixed up. I corrected the time and date and I do now get some output with the flowview plugin.
