Graphs are working but not displaying?

Post by Primüs »

Hello,

I have some weird problems with my graphs - i have just installed everything - it should be all sweet and dandy, i can go to Console => Graph management and actually see the graphs with collected data, but when actually viewing them in a tree they come up with just the graph name no actual pictures.

I cant figure this out, all the FAQ's and other stuff i have read only suggests if they are not graphing at all - these are graphing just not displaying in the tree views.

Please note your cacti version and post a screenshot of the failing graph page

I have been looking at it further myself - and if i view the source on my tree view or something, and take the <img src=""> info and go to the URL direct in my address bar, i used:

http://<cacti>/graph_image.php?local_graph_id=13&rra_id=0&view_type=tree&graph_start=1198776775&graph_end=1198863175

And that actually displays the image, and if i click on the link to view daily, weekly, monthly yearly, i can once again see all of the images. It is only in the tree view and thumbnails view i cant see the images.

This is getting really annoying! :( Can anyone help at all?

Can you please retry to get the faulty page and view your httpd's error_log afterwards to find any potential error?

After moving our cacti (0.8.7b) installtion from Debian Sarge with Apache 1.3 and PHP4 to a new Etch installation with Apache 2.2 and PHP5 we have the same problem. All graphs are working except the ones in the tree view. If I click the non-working "graph" to see the different time spans it works.

If I paste the URL for the image in my browser, I get a message that the image can not be shown because it contains errors. But if I remove the "&graph_end=" argument from the URL, it works.

I get a lot of these in apache's error.log:

Code: Select all

ERROR: Garbage ':59:39 To 2008/04/11 16:59:39\c' after command:
COMMENT:From 2008/04/10 16:59:39 To 2008/04/11 16:59:39\c

EDIT:
Found the solution in the forum after some more searching. I had to change to RRDtool 1.2 in settings.
