Websphere stats?

Post by atari05 »

I work with a fellow who had mentioned that Cacti was able to monitor WebSphere stats. I'm not really seeing any concrete information on if it can or can't so I figured I would post and ask if anyone is monitoring WebSphere and if so, what was your execution method.

We do. Our approach is to use cgi scripts running on the websphere host queried by using wget

Gandalf, thank you for your reply!

Are these scripts in the cacti package (in which then modified by us for our need) or is it expected that the user will write the cgi scripts themselves?

Second approach hits it. Very often (but IMHO not in this case) you'll find shared scripts and templates in the Scripts and Templates forum.
