Monitoring Cisco Routers

Post by clydew4 »

Has anyone had any luck in creating a graph showing things like temp, cpu usage, etc on cisco routers. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes,

Temperature will depend on what model you have. Some of the lower version routers <7000 series require an Environmental option card to be installed. I think that the environmental OID's are ....9.9.13. Use GetIf to scan the router and search via either MRTG's web site or via Google, HotBot etc for your answer.

See this tarball on Cisco's ftp site about getting all the CISCO MIB's and OID's and grep through them for "Temperature". I found several references.
