How big is your planned installation? (Number of devices, number of graphs per device, mostly SNMP or scripts)

I run Cacti on my little MacBook for testing, but it depends on what you are monitoring. We run our mid-sized (250 devices, 3500 graphs, 5 minute polling) on a simple Dell SC1425 (3GHz 'old' Xeon) in about 20GB of disk and 2GB RAM, and it all polls in under a minute.

There's a thread of people posting their large installations and their performance stats.
Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.
(Let me know if you have UK DevOps or Network Ops opportunities, too!)
