[Solved] SNMP Error

Hi its me again with another problem. I had added devices to cacti and them work fine. Now I am trying to add a new device and it gave me this error.

Your device doesn't respond to snmp or it timeout out fetching the data. manually verify snmp is working with another tool.

How can I manually check if snmp is working??

Using a tool, as I stated. Something like getif or net-snmp snmpwalk are free. Plenty of others. google.

I am having a same problem. I have no idea what is going on. The devices what I added before are all working fine. Could be some imported host tempalte makes a problem.

Can somebody give mi any idea what can I try

The snmp is working in another tool. It is working in mrtg.

1) Is CBASW01 = 10.2.127.17 on both sets of graphs?
2) mrtg doesn't check for system uptime.
3) install net-snmp. Then run: snmpwalk -v 1 -c public 10.2.127.17 system FROM your cacti server. Post the output.

--> cmd
--> some direction or to: snmpwalk -v 1 -c public 10.2.127.17

Was that snmpwalk from your cacti polling box? Does cacti show that device as up now or the system info?
