All appears to be fine with the installation except i can't see any graphs. When I go to graph management and turn on graph debugging mode, then pick a graph e.g. "ltm1.pslab.net - TMM CPU usage" I get the error below. I have searched the entire filesystem and cannot find any rrd files - I'm wondering if they are meant to be generated by the DEF: statement in the RRDTool below but I just don't know enough about how everything hangs together to know.
lol, yeah, I saw your post just after I had posted mine, and thought, hmmm, people are going to think I can't help myself by searching the forum for clues first.
One thing I have noticed is that I didn't create a cactiuser under Fedora before I started the installation and wonder in fact if I was using my own username for parts of the install or whether I had su'd to root. I'm wondering now whether to start again but pay more attention to permissions and users. I'm looking at the cacti installation guide which is for Ubuntu but can't see where they tell you to create the cactiuser which they then talk about using later.
Grrrr, I use Linux too infrequently and learn stuff then forget it again!
Set the appropriate permissions on cacti's directories for graph/log generation. You should execute these commands from inside cacti's directory to change the permissions.
