[SOLVED] Ldap Auth. + Realm Permissions

Post by Kamyk »

Hello,

I have Cacti 0.8.7b version and i use Ldap Auth. configuration. All work fine, but :) when new user in cacti (he is in ldap) log in - then he has access to console :( Why? Where can I change this?

I know - i can change that in UserManagment-><username> but i want if it is be default permission.

Second: have gave permission to login only few person from ldap?

Br,

To answer your first question, you need to know what your Settings -> Authentication -> LDAP Template is set to. That user is used as a template user when someone logs in using LDAP and does not exist on the Cacti System. Alter that users permissions and you will be set for new users.

You can limit the users whom can access the system by using DN searching and a properly crafted search. I do not know your environment, so I can not help you with that syntax.

It's a user, you have to create a new user then assign it to be a template.
