Send test email and get access denied

Post by steagu »

I'm running the following:

Cacti Version 0.8.7a
Cacti OS windows 2003
SNMP Version net-snmp
RRDTool Version RRDTool 1.2.x
PHP Version 5.2.5

Under the mail/dns "tab" in Settings, i add the releveant SMTP information and when i click "send a test email" I get a pop up that says access denied. I'm logged in as the admin account so I should have all the necessary permissions. i did go to user management to make sure everything looked good and it did. any ideas?

My guess is that your SMTP server does not allow relay from your CACTI host. Failing that, does your account have access to all files in CACTI ?

IIS does not run under an admin account, so that has no bearing on your current user permissions. Post more details / screenshot of the error message.

This is a plugin issue, not cacti. Moving.

Make sure that user has rights granted to that plugin in user manager.

I double checked my realm permissions for the user and admin has rights to everything.

I've attached a screenshot for reference purposes
