What does CACTI mean? (newbie)

I've looked for in the board and the general documentation but i couldnt find anything and my boss is more interested in why Rax choose the name than the aplication itself.

doesn't cacti means the same as cactuses
the plural of cactus ?

I know what a Cactus is and is pretty obvius that Cacti refer to a Cactus. But why Ian choose a Cactus, why not a Orange or an Apple or Raxus or Whatever...

It is definitely 'cacti' as in the plural of 'cactus'. Cacti was never meant to stand for anything, but was just something that I just came up with at some point. In case anyone cares, I dug up the first reference of the name 'Cacti' that I could find in my IM logs. History in the making!
