A strange problem : Status Down but host is alive

Post by atem »

I have some device in my network that shows up as status: "Down" but host is alive (Other Device is normal). I can ping this device from the cacti server. I can run an snmpwalk on this device from the cacti server. At Device page in cacti website, That device can show detail (SNMP Information) of device but its All graphs cann't display and device shows status "Down". I have deleted the device from cacti and re-added it to no availiable. .

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Turn On Graph Debug Mode.

It's Ping and SNMP. I applied this to all my devices, and only one of them continuously switching between up and down

1) spine or cmd.php poller?

2) change the logging level to high for a while. Then monitor when the device goes down in cacti, look in the log file. Why does cacti think it went down? Possibly increase the timeout to the device.
