Segmentation fault with SUSE 9.0 when running cmd.php

I have installed the latest release of cacti on a suse 9.0 professional system. First i had a problem with "too many open files" and i changed the open file value with ulimits. I have now about 300 graphs in cacti. When i add a device and create additional graphs the cmd.php stops with "Segmentation fault" error in the last line before start updating the rrd files.
Has anyone an idea whats wrong ??

try using cactid instead. faster anyways.
