Problem in cacti 0.8.5 or 0.8.5a (fresh install) with Graphs

Post by unikeko »

Hi everybody !

I have modified the "Interface - Traffic (bits/sec)" graph template by adding selectable options like auto-scale, height, width or upper limit. And when I create a new graph using this modified template, it works normally the first time. But if later I change one of theses options, e.g changing upper limit or even the name of the graph, then my graph breaks and I have an "Invalid rpn expression".

Does anyone know this problem ?

Thanks a lot

is this the same problem as you reported on March 19:
http://www.raxnet.net/board/viewtopic.php?t=3197

?

I think it has something to do with the CDEF "Turn bytes into bits"...
does this CDEF exist?
my "Turn bytes into bits" looks like this:
cdef=CURRENT_DATA_SOURCE,8,*

post your "rrdtool graph ... "-command.. (click the [source]-link below the corrupt graph)

Yes, it is the same problem.

My CDEF "Turn bytes into bits" is the same as yours. Anyway, the graph works fine after I create and breaks only if I change one of the options like the size.

How can I see the "rrdtool graph" command ? When the graph breaks, I can't even see the source, nothing appears in the graph window. I have only this messages :

-------------------------------------------
RRDTool Says:

ERROR: invalid rpn expression 'a,8,*'
-------------------------------------------

Thanks for your help.
