[SOLVED] Log file stopped being written to

I am running cacti version 0.8.6j

I renamed the log file which got huge due to debugging.

Then I did "cat /dev/null > cacti.log"

Ever since then, nothing is written to this file.

How can restart cacti or the daemon that's responsible for the log file?

$ ls -l /path/to/cacti/log/cacti.log

root@bizcacti:/var/www/html/cacti/log# ls -l /var/www/html/cacti/log/cacti.log
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 0 Feb 18 11:10 /var/www/html/cacti/log/cacti.log
root@bizcacti:/var/www/html/cacti/log#
