ok im very new to cacti myself and risk a completly wrong answer but :

1. did you setup your cron to run the poller ?
2. how are you polling for the data ? cacti ? spine ?

because nan normally means (if im not mistaken) that you are not receiving data (polling)

No, run the poller in DEBUG mode (Settings -> General -> Poller Logging Level).
