Re: roadmap for weathermap
You might want to elaborate on those, because none of them are on the "roadmap"tbaror wrote:Hello,

Nested maps are possible right now, if I understand what you are looking for, though.
Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.
(Let me know if you have UK DevOps or Network Ops opportunities, too!)

sorry for the unknown terms i saw those terms in HP network monitoring .
also added image to emphasis.
i will explain.
*nested maps
-i meant map icon or thumbnail inside a map when you click its not redirected to map link , its opening windows map on top
*worst child
-i meant if we have a map presented like an icon or thumbnail and its got one of its hots inside the map some issues the all icon or thumbnail will be painted in like scale (red, yellow)
also when nested map appear win put map frame according scale.
*vector based i meant straight curve line also the ability to move icon, object within map and also to lock them.
Thanks in advanced

In reverse order...
angled VIAs (straight-line 'curved' links) are coming soon. I have a working test, but not within the main weathermap code.
drag/drop editor - also a working test, but not enough to be useful yet
worst child - this is quite tricky, because it means being able to fetch data from map A into map B, and each map is treated seperately at the moment. It also means having some way to define 'badness' easily, and which map items will contribute to the aggregate badness of the map.
nested maps - why does it have to be in a window?
