Parsing Logfiles

Hi There,

Sorry for my bad english, but i'm wondering if somebody can help me.
I have a logfile that has information about messages when they are sended out and received by the order side...

this logfile is about 400 mb...
at the end of the day i'm parsing the logfile.. throwing away all the data that i don't need...

And i'm getting a message like:
Date:080205 Transfertime:105 Send_Time:130002987
The send time stand for 13:00:02.987...
now i'm trying to use cacti to make a graph of all this information...

Every day is has to make this graph... and stored it for at least a year....
maybe have any idea.. to do this in cacti?

or maybe where to begin?!? (maybe cacti isn't developed for this)

I did read the documentation but i can't figure out how i have to make the script and let cacti read multiple values like

Date:080205 Transfertime:105 Send_Time:130002987
Date:080205 Transfertime:212 Send_Time:130013987
Date:080205 Transfertime:243 Send_Time:130022987
Date:080205 Transfertime:245 Send_Time:130032987
Date:080205 Transfertime:80 Send_Time:130012987
Date:080205 Transfertime:68 Send_Time:130012987
Date:080205 Transfertime:150 Send_Time:130012987

and get the time on the X-ax and transfertime on the Y-ax

You cannot force feed rrdtool "old data" which has occurred in the past. Only current data it will accept.

Cacti expects scripts to separate out the data like: field1:value1 field2:value2 , etc. this is documented in the documentation site.
