Post by FR-77-vince »

Hi all,

I'm a first time user with cacti and i'm testing it to deloy this solution in my company.

I've installed it on a widows XP computer with XAMP installed ( Apache + php package)
The web site is operationnal and i can create my devices, choose the port of the switch i want to graph ...

My problem is that graphs do not apperear ( i have a red cross instead).
I've launched the graph in debug mode, i have this result:
---------
RRDTool Command:
C:/htdocs/cacti/rrdtoolutility/rrdtool.exe graph - \
--imgformat=PNG \
--start=-86400 \
--end=-300 \
--title="N7si1 - Traffic - ge.1.1" \
--rigid \
--base=1000 \
--height=120 \
--width=500 \
--alt-autoscale-max \
--lower-limit=0 \
--vertical-label="bits per second" \
DEF:a="C\:/htdocs/cacti/rra/n7si1_traffic_in_12.rrd":traffic_in:AVERAGE \
DEF:b="C\:/htdocs/cacti/rra/n7si1_traffic_in_12.rrd":traffic_in:MAX \
DEF:c="C\:/htdocs/cacti/rra/n7si1_traffic_in_12.rrd":traffic_out:AVERAGE \
DEF:d="C\:/htdocs/cacti/rra/n7si1_traffic_in_12.rrd":traffic_out:MAX \
CDEF:cdefa=a,8,* \
CDEF:cdefd=b,8,* \
CDEF:cdeff=c,8,* \
CDEF:cdefi=d,8,* \
AREA:cdefa#00CF00:"Inbound" \
GPRINT:cdefa:LAST:" Current\:%8.2lf %s" \
GPRINT:cdefa:AVERAGE:"Average\:%8.2lf %s" \
GPRINT:cdefd:MAX:"Maximum\:%8.2lf %s" \
COMMENT:"Total In: 0 bytes\n" \
LINE1:cdeff#002A97:"Outbound" \
GPRINT:cdeff:LAST:"Current\:%8.2lf %s" \
GPRINT:cdeff:AVERAGE:"Average\:%8.2lf %s" \
GPRINT:cdefi:MAX:"Maximum\:%8.2lf %s" \
COMMENT:"Total Out: 0 bytes"

RRDTool Says:
ERROR: opening 'C:/htdocs/cacti/rra/n7si1_traffic_in_12.rrd': No such file or directory

----------

In the C:/htdocs/cacti/rra folder, i only have one file : .placeholder

Can you please help ???????

Thanks

Can you run it once by hand :

Hi,

thanks for reply,

I's strange, why xamp is a pb ?

In fact if i have to rebuilt all the server installation it will be difficult;
because my server also provide OCSreports & GLPI interface

Is it really impossible ?

Not impossible, but they apply extra tweaks which require the user (you) to fix so it works with cacti. read my installation guide and faq to fix the PHP issues.
