Nagios - NPC - MySQL

Im using mysql 5 with nagios, cacti and npc.

The npc tab does not show any hosts or services, looking into the logs I see that there is an error in the queries to the mysql DB.

Any suggestions to correct the queries or making mysql work in some compatibility mode with mysql 4.x.
