[FC] New functions to support Dell switches

Post by rangertdc »

I just finished re-writing the dot1q functions provided by default with mactrack in the mactrack_functions.php to support Dell 5300 and 3400 series switches using the Dell implementation of the dot1q bridge mib. I've tested this on a few of our Dell switches in our environment and it appears to be working fine.

Just copy these 2 files to your /lib directory, and change your Device types to use the new get_dell_dot1q_switch_ports.

If anyone has any questions or comments please let me know. This was my first venture into the world of PHP so I may have done some things pretty stupid, I'm not sure. My main concern was to get it working :)

rngertdc,

Any chance you could modify this to allow the Dell 6224 stacking switch.?

Also i am getting this error for the 5324 switch

Warning: Missing argument 10 for cacti_snmp_get(), called in /var/www/html/plugins/mactrack/mactrack_devices.php on line 807 and defined in /var/www/html/lib/snmp.php on line 39

There are other questions to fill in here:
Can you provide the info.

System Description Match

Vendor snmp object ID Match

Serial Number Base OID

I have no idea what to put in those fields for a 5324 switch.
Thanks

rangertdc,

I have added these to the MacTrack 2.0 release that I am working on. If you would like to provide you Device Type database (cvs), that would be great.
