Role based email

Hey Guys! Great job on your continued efforts.

I was wondering if there is a way to execute role based email alerts. That is to say that a particular person or department could be notified of a failure of a device they are responsible for.

Network team notification if a switch goes down.
Systems team notification if a server goes down.
etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like the job for a plugin, if one existed. Those in the plugin forum might have a better idea.
