I reckon if that instead of "Error: XML: Hash version does not exist.", the import template function said "This template was exported from a newer version of Cacti (0.8.xy) - you must have at least that version to use this template.", then you'd reduce the load on the forums database by about 5%

In my defense, that's in a piece of code where it really should only appear if there's an actual bug in my code (which there was), rather than a communication with the end-user about something that they are supposed to be able to understand, and then fix (upgrading Cacti).

The only way you can know what that XML error means is if you've already had it once, and looked/asked in the forums what it is.

The error message could be updated, but that particular message would still exist. A check for a newer (higher) hash number could be performed and a different error message could be presented.

I will submit a bug for this (feature).

I know what you meant, I just think that your particular error message was funny. The first time I saw it come up on my system here I laughed pretty good.
