Hi,
I don't really understand Cacti to any great degree so I apologise if this is a trivial matter, but it's rather confusing.
We have recently changed the name of an interface on our core router but when executing the query via Cacti it seems to be sticking with the old information. The community string and other variables are all correct as a manual snmpwalk command does retrieve information back from the device, however I don't know how to manually retrieve interface names from it.
I have attached a screenshot from Cacti, which shows what comes up when I click "create graphs for this host". The problem is with the last line of output, the interface name, which I unfortunately have to blank out for company confidentiality, is still coming up as the old interface name.
How can I firstly query the router directly to make sure that it's returning the correct name, and secondly if it is returning the correct name, why isn't cacti picking this up?
Any troubleshooting steps or advice would be much appreciated.
