Another Wireless Signal Data Query for Mikrotik (SNMP)

Post by basos »

A brand new data query for wireless signal monitoring on mikrotik boards based on SNMP. Written on cacti 0.8.6j
It is tested with ifs @ client mode
Yet to be tested for other modes, especially for AP mode.
It does not support multiple clients for aps.
Information on installing as well as relevant files are included into the zip
Anyone with a commend on this is welcome.

Version

Post by basos »

Written on cacti 0.8.6j
Are you on a newer/older version ?
Unfortunately i don't maintain this anymore as i think there are better replacements.
Nevertheless if it is requested enough it will be fixed.

The ss_* script thing remembers me of the fact, that the cacti_snmp_* function were changed a while ago. The parameter list was extended to support SNMP V3. I suppose that the given script does not care for that.
And, to be honest, I do not know why a script is required. It "should" be pure SNMP data that's required. Please see 1st link of my sig to learn about creating own SNMP probes
