IP-Address management plugin
Hello Cacti-users,
I'm searching for a good, but simple IP-address management tool. Today I've got my management in a Excel-sheet. Functional but not attractive. And I think Cacti is the right managemet tool to realize that with some hot functions.
The only things that I searched for are:
Possible to create several nets, user management for a specific net, up-down status, automatically host name detection or add names with the hand, possible to bulk edit addresses for example DHCP-pools. (Some troubleshoot tools as ping, tracert, etc would also be nice!)
Is there a tool that I can't find? Or somebody that has scripting as second language?

NorthStar and robo-bijal.
I'm in the same situation. I also need it to handle overlapping address spaces - several of our customers use the same RFC1918 ranges for their internal networks, for example.
Both are a little old and dusty though. I'm planning on writing one of these for work when I get some spare time. Unfortunately, that means it won't be available to the world

Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.
(Let me know if you have UK DevOps or Network Ops opportunities, too!)

Thanks for the replies and sorry for my late reaction.
I created a fancy image with my goal. Too bad I'm not a scripter, but the idea is in my head and can't find a similar open source product that can do this. In my eyes Cacti is a great tool for administrators with a lot of plugins and I think an IPAM plugin is missing. The only thing this plugin must have is a way to add some networks and let's see where the IP address is used, manually entered. (Maybe in the future automatic with name resolving). Fancy would be to have the option some users see only a couple of networks, for other administrators.
The other tools are too big or to expensive.
Lets see my image, don't watch my paint skills

I created a plugin which is based on phpIP, you can find it here:
http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?t=25560
Though if there's a better/nicer IP management tool around, I can try integrating this, too. Any suggestions in addition to the already mentioned ones ?

Yes - have a look at Phalek's plugin (NMID) - he has already written a superb interface for this. Admittedly, I made some tweaks to it, as I wanted more out of it than phpip offers...jdc1898 wrote:have you looked at phpip?
