Newly generated graphs not running..........

Post by smartech1 »

Hi friends,

I am facing very often that my graphs stops running. Some times, only new graphs generated wont run, but old running cool.

Newly generated graphs debug says :
RRDTool Command:

/bin/rrdtool graph - \
--imgformat=PNG \
--start=-86400 \
--end=-300 \
--title="|GLOPORE| - Traffic - Vl114" \
--base=1000 \
--height=120 \
--width=500 \
--alt-autoscale-max \
--lower-limit=0 \
--vertical-label="bits per second" \
--slope-mode \
DEF:a="/usr/local/cacti-0.8.6i/rra/vidhwanl3switch_traffic_in_263.rrd":traffic_in:AVERAGE \
DEF:b="/usr/local/cacti-0.8.6i/rra/vidhwanl3switch_traffic_in_263.rrd":traffic_out:AVERAGE \
CDEF:cdefa=a,8,* \
CDEF:cdefe=b,8,* \
AREA:cdefa#7EE600:"Inbound" \
GPRINT:cdefa:LAST:" Current\:%8.2lf %s" \
GPRINT:cdefa:AVERAGE:"Average\:%8.2lf %s" \
GPRINT:cdefa:MAX:"Maximum\:%8.2lf %s\n" \
LINE1:cdefe#8F005C:"Outbound" \
GPRINT:cdefe:LAST:"Current\:%8.2lf %s" \
GPRINT:cdefe:AVERAGE:"Average\:%8.2lf %s" \
GPRINT:cdefe:MAX:"Maximum\:%8.2lf %s"

RRDTool Says:

ERROR: opening '/usr/local/cacti-0.8.6i/rra/vidhwanl3switch_traffic_in_263.rrd': No such file or directory

1. I tried Utilities/rebuild poller cache ,but i dont see it clears it all.

2. I run crontab as below

# run-parts
01 * * * * root run-parts /etc/cron.hourly
02 4 * * * root run-parts /etc/cron.daily
22 4 * * 0 root run-parts /etc/cron.weekly
42 4 1 * * root run-parts /etc/cron.monthly
*/1 * * * * cactiuser php /usr/local/cacti-0.8.6i/poller.php > /dev/null 2>&1
~

3. Then i ran manually poller.php and got below result

[root@stpbnms cacti-0.8.6i]# php poller.php

The "last update time ..." issue reminds me of the double poller issue given in the second link of my signature
